Confirmation

Confirmation

Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church and is specifically one of the three sacraments of initiation, along with Baptism and Eucharist. It is considered a sacrament that completes baptismal grace, deepening the baptized person’s relationship with God and the Church. Through Confirmation, the individual receives the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which empower them to live as a faithful witness of Christ in their family, community, and society. Children in the seventh and eighth grade classes of our Religious Education program prepare for Confirmation as part of the year’s curriculum. The Confirmation Mass will be celebrated in eighth grade by a bishop in the spring, typically on a Saturday in May
